The Ultimate Bug Out Business

The Ultimate Bug Out Business

The Ultimate Bug Out Business Report CoverIf you're anything like me, you know circumstances change.

Sometimes dramatically. Often quickly.

That's why we keep a closer eye on the weather and news than some. Set aside extra for a rainy day. And make contingency plans in case disaster lands on our doorstep.

But most plans share one glaring weakness.

If a storm, wildfire, or other crisis forces an evacuation, or a family emergency requires an extended trip away from home, income grinds to a halt.

But not for me. Or for any of my friends I'd like to introduce you to.

Our income follows us everywhere we go.

We live where we want to live. Travel whenever we want. And make a better living than many doctors and lawyers.

We call it the writer's life.

But you could also call it The Ultimate Bug Out Business.

Sales Funnel Hack: Free Kindle Book Lead Magnets
Peppermint Essential Oil - Free Kindle Book Lead Magnet

Can a free Kindle book make a great lead magnet for your sales funnel?

Look at any good sales funnel and invariably you'll find a strong lead magnet at the top.

For those new to sales funnels, a lead magnet is a free or nearly free offer designed to entice prospects to give you their name, email (or full mailing address) and permission to contact them.

This is how you build a list of targeted prospects you can sell to again and again.

Lead magnets can also be used to segment an existing list into specific areas of interest by getting some to raise their hand and say, "Yes, I'm interested in this, too."

Today I'll break down and analyze an interesting new twist on this second lead magnet approach currently being used by George Shepherd, Publisher of Survivalist Magazine.

Ferguson Riots: A Mother’s Perspective

Ferguson Riots: A Mother’s Perspective
ClineFamily

We're not Italian, British, or African. We're all Americans!

I stayed up half the night listening to the Ferguson / St Louis County police scanner online as Ferguson erupted into a virtual war zone last night.

Not one minute went by, for hours, where there wasn't a new report of shots fired, or another building or car set afire, or another group of looters entering a building.

While not unexpected, it was sobering.

This morning, numerous innocent business owners, employees, Americans who had nothing to do with the shooting of Michael Brown wake to the loss of property and livelihoods.

It's a miracle no deaths were reported from the events of the past night, though it remains to be seen how much longer this type of activity may continue and how bad things may get.

I pray for calm in our nation. Why must we be our own enemies?

A dear family friend of ours who is mother to 3 natural born children and 5 beautifully adopted children of color shared some of the most eloquent remarks I've read to date on the entire situation on her Facebook page this morning. With her permission, I share those with you here:

Free National and Local Water Maps

Free National and Local Water Maps

EPA National Water MapOutside of air and possibly shelter in extreme conditions, water is the most valuable resource we must have on hand for survival.

I believe in stocking up on water. Whether that's filling big, blue 55-gallon barrels with clean drinking water, buying bottled water from the store for your pantry, or simply washing and re-using 2-liter soda bottles to store tap water under your bed, water storage should be part of your preparedness plan.

But honestly, that's not enough for true preparedness.

Why Didn’t Holocaust Victims Fight Back?

Why Didn't Holocaust Victims Fight Back?

Why Didn't Holocaust Victims Fight Back?

I saw this image on a friend's Facebook wall today which prompted me to think... and reply.

The Holocaust, despite a vocal handful of deniers, was a tragic and real event in world history.

While the image and caption here offer a warning to Americans that should be considered, it also portrays significant misconceptions about the Holocaust that should be dealt with.

First, six million people did not perish in the Holocaust. Over 11,000,000 died.

Second, holocaust survivors and their children take great exception to the notion that Jews (the largest, though not only, group of victims) did not fight back.

Should You Train for a Zombie Apocalypse?

Should You Train for a Zombie Apocalypse?
Zombie

Should you train for a "Zombie Apocalypse"?

Zombies aren't real, right? So would it be foolish to plan for such an event?

Still, to each his own, right?

But what about when it comes to your tax dollars at work supporting a military plan to deal with a Zombie Apocalypse?

Despite the fact zombies aren't real (or are they?), it appears the United States Air Force has drawn up a "Counter-Zombie Dominance" plan dated 30 Apr 2011 for our military to respond to the threat.

Mother Nature’s Most Powerful Natural Antibiotic

Antibiotic-resistant bacteria can't survive this powerful natural antibiotic

When you hear the word “antibiotics” what comes to mind?

For me, it often brings to mind expensive prescriptions, gastrointestinal side effects and the building blocks for dangerous new superbugs like MRSA CC5 - now resistant to the last-line defensive drugs available from modern medicine.

Conventional medicine has its place. If I break my arm, yes, I’m going to see the doctor. But far too often “modern” medicine means using “treatments” that magnify the problems you’re trying to fix.

That’s why our family chooses to use less invasive yet proven natural remedies whenever possible. Like the powerful antibiotic straight from nature that recently healed a stubborn infection in my two-year-old’s thumb.
